Disruption - The future is not a extrapolation of the past.
The wind turbine gererator (WTG)
The wind turbine captures the energy in the wind and converts it into electricity. Today the most frequent wind turbines used onshore are producing between 10-15 million kWh per year.
The most frequent types of turbines have a total height betwen 150-200 meters and rotor diameters betwen 90-150 meters.
Wind power is sustainable
Our reserves of fossil fuels are limited, a fact well known for at least 50 years. The oil and gas reserves, still unexplored, will be significantly more costly to harvest, making energy much more expensive in a near future. If we want to preserve our way of living, we will need to increase our production of sustainable energy like wind power.
